Father and son come home together from the mountain to the wells of Beersheba.

  4. 4. Beer-lahai-roi −1878 – −1850

  5. 5. Gerar −1848 – −1835

Famine brings him to Abimelech's land. He grows so rich that the Philistines envy him, and they stop up his father's wells as he digs them again.

Abimelech comes to make peace. Old and blind, Isaac blesses Jacob, thinking he is Esau, and sends him away to find a wife.

  7. 7. Hebron −1779 – −1738

He dies at Mamre, full of years. Jacob and Esau, reconciled, bury him together in the Cave of Machpelah.
