The Nephilim are mysterious figures mentioned before the Flood in Genesis. The Torah describes them as powerful beings or mighty people from the ancient world, but Jewish interpretations differ on exactly who they were. Some understand them as violent giants or warriors; others connect them to corrupt leaders or fallen spiritual beings. In the timeline, the Nephilim represent the growing corruption and moral breakdown before the Flood, when humanity became increasingly violent and distant from God.
