Yeho'ezer is not mentioned in the Bible. He is known only from stamped jar handles, most found at Ramat Rahel just south of Jerusalem, the Persian administrative center of Yehud, which read in Aramaic "Yeho'ezer the governor." The title, pḥw', is the same word (pechah) the Bible uses for Nehemiah. The jars probably held wine or oil collected as taxes in kind.
These impressions are among the few direct records of Jewish self-government under Persia. Their date is debated: Nahman Avigad placed Yeho'ezer and his colleague Ahzai before Nehemiah, while others, as this timeline does, place them in the 4th century before the common count. His name means "YHWH is help," typical of the Yahwistic names of the community.
