Abraham is considered the founding figure of the Hebrew people, entering into a covenant with God that promises land, descendants, and blessing. He leaves his homeland in Mesopotamia and travels to Canaan, demonstrating strong faith and obedience. One of the most defining moments of his life is the binding of his son, showing his willingness to follow God completely.
